What to Expect in a Session

Wear comfortable clothes for the duration of the session. The first session is 90 min with subsequent sessions 75 minutes. We start with relevant history, changes since last session, expectations and checking with you for how your body is today. With your agreement to the described approach of the session we typically begin laying face-up on the therapy (aka, massage) table. This is your session and consent is an important aspect to empowering the body and unlocking trapped health potentials. Conditions including respect, choice and the body’s pacing are foundational.

This builds trust allowing the body to settle once it's ready.

I know this work from being a client and student of it in my own life. Many years of personal experience living out of connection to my body and being overly mental created lots of opportunities to learn to regain the instinctual knowing my body had that had been muted with an inability to connect to its messages while pushing through. The quality of my inner and outer life that emerged over time is something I would not have expected. Like everyone, the experience is what matters in order to see for yourself what’s possible. I can reliably recognize and trust the body’s signals and messages. It’s not work that could be done fully on my own. With the help of skilled and attuned practitioners, lifelong unhelpful patterns began to resolve. From there came an unfolding of a different way of being in relationship to myself and, naturally a renewed connection to life.
